Fountain Square is just south of downtown Indianapolis. It's close enough to access downtown Indy with ease, but far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown.
Virginia is one of the main roads that makes getting downtown quick and easy. It's only two miles from Monument Circle. There is easy access to the Red Line for rapid transit, and you can jump on the Cultural Trail.
There are many local shops and businesses in Fountain Square. There are also multiple restaurants and food venues in the neighborhood that cater to a variety of dietary restrictions, such as Amelia's Bakery, Rooftop Garden, Upland Brewery, Easy Rider Diner, and more. Restaurants like Kuma's Corner have live music. The famous restaurant Milktooth is in Fountain Square with nationally renown restaurant Blue Beard nearby on Virginia Ave as well. And there are plenty of other Mexican, Thai, Indian and other ethnic restaurants in the neighborhood.
Fountain Square residents can travel down Shelby street to explore Garfield Park or start walking on Pleasant Run Trail. There are also many dog parks and other trails to walk or bike on. And the newly refurbished Fountain Square Theater is in the heart of the neighborhood which makes for a great place to host weddings or other events.
