Haughville

Haughville has a rich history and is in a great location. Haughville is located near downtown and touches the White River on the west side. It has some great parks with playgrounds, splash pads, basketball courts and nature trails. Because Haughville touches the White River, it's easy to connect with nature and enjoy some White River trails, fishing and Belmont Beach.   Students living in Haughville attend Wendell Phillips School 63 and George Washington Community High. George Washington Community High has an A rating for diversity and a B rating for teachers on Niche.com. Students can participate in career academies that include Advanced Manufacturing, Information Technology and Business and Finance. Successful students can land a paid internship at major companies like Eli Lilly.     There are some really good local restaurants like nationally renowned "Long's Bakery" as well as "Working Man's Friend" and their famous smashed burgers. It's right across the bridge from The White River State Park, The Indianapolis Zoo, Victory Field, IUPUI and great hospitals like Eskenazi Hospital, Riley's Children's Hospital & IU Health University Hospital.
